But her love affair with the stage dates back at least to her high school days, when as a sophomore she was cast in the iconic role of Kate Keller in the school’s production of The Miracle Worker. She went on to earn Best Actress accolades during college for her theatrical performance as bad girl Lily Sabina in Thornton Wilder’s classic, Skin of our Teeth. While she still occasionally graces the footlights, Paula can more readily be found behind the scenes, serving as Head of Make-up/Hair for Middle Tennessee’s Springhouse Theatre Company, where she also serves on its Advisory Board.

Paula started her career as a playwright by penning short sketches for such publications as the National Drama Service and Brentwood Music’s Acts of Worship. She has sense written numerous professionally produced full-length plays, short sketches, and One-Acts. She is best known for her sparkling stage adaptation of Jane Austen’s Pride & Prejudice – which has been performed internationally,  Jane Austen’s Sense & Sensibility, and Jane Austen’s Emma.
